This oil filter adapter/fitting is for the Ford Small Block Windsor, Cleveland, Big Block 385, 429, 460 engine block application. It converts the lower flowing less filtered oil filter to the higher flowing Motorcraft FL–337 oil filter (though we prefer the Wicks 51268 and/or NAPA 1268 filter as it filters and flows better than the original Ford recommended filter and other aftermarket filters produced). This adapter/fitting increase volume by 48% over the original and other 1/2” replacement pieces you will find here on eBay!

This fitting is made from premium high-grade Billet Steel and machine to precision on a CNC machining center for a hassle free installation. The black finish on this piece is called Black Oxide (black oxide is a chemical process that protects against rust prior to installation). This fitting is premium in every respect, and every piece is inspected by hand prior to packing by Blue Thunder; which is why they have one of the most respected name in Ford performance.

That is correct. The reason why this one is cheaper is because it does not come with the installation tool. This one is primarily for customers who have a hex drive tool in their tool kit or have purchased the more expensive one with the tool in the past, thus, this will save them an additional five dollars
