This lantern is two-owner. My garndfather bought it in 1926 and passed it on to me when I was in Boy Scouts in 1958. Like him I used it camping. The past decade or so it's just been decoration. It's time to pass it on. It turns 100 this year.
It's in very good condition. The tank has gloss and is dent free. I lit it up and the only problem was getting the filler cap to seal. I solved that with an 0-ring. It comes with the original mica globe. It's not on the best shape but perfect for display. When I've used it camping I substitued a glass globe. That glass globe is also included.
It's known as "The Sunshine Of The Night" stamped into the tank.
This early model has the external pump.
The cap does have some metal loss. See the pictures.
