This listing is to support our buyers, offering optimum choice and outcomes whereby if you don't need to buy batteries, perhaps you already have them, then you can buy most aids from us without batteries. If you want the reassurance thet your purchase has been just now fitted with new batteries, then you will find the answers in this listing.

When you buy a powered mobility aid (Powerchair or scooter) from us, except with very expensive units (typically over £2,000) where we give a one year warranty on ALL parts and labour, excluding only visible damage, they are normally offered either without batteries, for those who have their own, or wish to buy new, or with used batteries which enables us to demonstrate it working only. In respect of these used batteries there is no warranty and we can save you money this way.

However, here we are separately listing the popular types of battery, all including fitting if purchased at the same time as the aid to which you want us to supply and fit new quality batteries, this listing is for you. All batteries listed here are supplied and fitted by us, and have a full 12 month warranty. Further, we can supply extended life batteries with a 2 year warranty, for an uplift of 22.5%.

All our warranties are RTB (return to base), which means you are responsible for getting anything back to us.
We will quote separately for on-site cover if requested - cost varies on both the item and distance form our base at BN14 8NT

Our Sales & Services:

* All our mobility aids have had pre-sale assessments by our skilled and factory-trained technicians.

* Most of our used powerchairs and scooters have been checked with batteries and a suitable charger, even where sold without batteries or charger.

Aids are sold "as seen" to keep the price as low as possible.

We grade everything as:

A = Excellent – not new but nearly so; Good working Order;

B = used, and shows it; Good working Order;

C = Working but well used; Good working Order;

Grades A, B,and C include a tested charger. Grade D does not.

D = Spares & Repair ONLY – Not Working. Parts & work needed to get going. Entirely as seen. We judge them to require too much of our time + parts. They may otherwise be broken or incomplete, with parts missing - so feel free to ask what is broken or missing, before you buy, as there is no warranty or condition report on these whatsoever. It is only what the pictures show.

Please DO NOT buy a Grade D item expecting it to work – it doesn’t.

How we list items now :

1. Lowest Price: Auction price which is local pickup only, and without batteries, but tested with batteries (except Grade D – Spares and Repairs only). Freight can be arranged for you, and we have separately listed new batteries, installed, if required.

2. "BUY IT NOW" price, checked & ready to go, which includes both new batteries with a 12 month RTB warranty, and FREE shipping on UK mainland.

* Please be aware we offer used items with wear & tear and age related marks.

The pictures form part of the description.

PRICING:

We offer you a choice - to save our clients money, and to give best possible value, as buyers often have good batteries, we list many items without them, unless otherwise stated. If you wish to fit batteries yourself, we are happy to provide instructions on request.

A. Sales at “Auction price” are without batteries to keep the price as low as possible. On request, and subject to availability, we may fit a pair of well used batteries which prove function, but with no warranty.

B. Sales at "Buy it Now" price include NEW Batteries with a 12 month RTB warranty. This is NOT a warranty on the item, which can be purchased separately.

C. We also list Return to Base (RTB) and on-site warranties.

D. Grants. If you need grant aid, please apply well in advance. We cannot give grants until approved, which takes time. See our website, under Grants.

E. New Batteries:

Separately, we also list new batteries, which we will fit included in the listed price, if bought at the same time, and which come with a 12 month RTB warranty.

Aids will be shipped with working batteries having no warranty, only where requested.

SHIPPING:

A. Local pickup is free, but by appointment only - we are often visiting clients.

B. We can usually offer own van deliveries based upon  a cost of 95p per mile each way, min £25.

C. “White Glove “ delivery and training is available by quotation.

D. Powerchairs and scooters are shipped across mainland UK by Pallet Courier, at cost, typically £25 for a pallet, tie down and wrap, plus £55 - £99 for collection, transit, delivery UK Mainland, & insurance.

E. For pallet deliveries, you must tell us in advance if there are, or might be, access issues as delivery is normally by 16T truck with tail-lift.  If a fire engine can't get there, we will need to pre-arrange delivery by a smaller van, to avoid extra costs, which are charged for failed deliveries.

F. Note that control leads MAY be disconnected for safety. If a powered aid arrives and does not work, please check to see what is disconnected.

VAT:

Since most of our buyers are entitled to VAT exemption, we list at the exempt price. If you are entitled to exemption, you must complete and return the VAT Exemption form, within 14 days or we must bill you for the VAT. If you are not entitled to exemption (i.e. a business), then we must add the VAT.

Buy ins and part-exchanges:

Because we accept donations, we do not buy aids. We do consider part-exchanges, and free removal of old aids, which must be discussed with us before bidding or purchasing, otherwise we are unable to help. Our vans cover Southern England, but not Central London, because of access and parking issues.
