Lots of pockets and storage, including a place for shotgun shells and a game bag that can also be used to carry maps, spare gloves, etc.  I have another one of these, use it while chopping and stacking firewood, burning slash piles, and for walks in the woods hunting grouse.

There is a double layer of canvas in the shoulder and upper back areas, but there is no insulation otherwise.

The game bag / rear storage compartment can be snapped and zipped down for easy cleaning of the nylon enclosure.
