This is a rare, and quite unusual (because of its size) early, stoneware miniature vase designed by one to the Doulton factory's leading artist/designers Frank A. Butler, assisted by Harriet Hibbut? (not so sure) and was decorated at the Lambeth works in the latter 19th. Century. It is depicted in a shouldered tapering vase form with trumpet foot and upswept neck and rim and decorated with a hand incised stylised floral motif to the entire body. The base is stamped with the above mentioned Doulton Lambeth (partial) factory mark and Butler's / Hibbut's? hand inscribed monograms - see photographs and details.
It measures 6" (15.25cm) H. x 2" (5cm) W approx; and is in excellent condition, with no defect to report however there is a very small popped glaze bubble to the tip of one flower (see photograph 7) and two very small glazed over frits to the base rim, all obviously factory done - see photographs and details.
This is a wonderful rare early piece of period Doulton Lambeth stoneware by one of their very best designers with a superb image which is in lovely original condition and with a low start price should get considerable interest from all collectors.

All items will be forwarded (nationally) special delivery post only and (internationally) insured express (tracked & signed for) post.
All consignments exceeding 2kg will be shipped via courier (usually ups), with a four day minimum dispatch time national & international, and five days for items via courier, but in reality I usually ship within two working days after cleared payment.
The shipping cost includes a small packaging and handling charge and therefore does not reflect postage alone.
RETURNS
Returns are accepted within 14 days with the return shipping cost at the buyer's expense.
Almost everything I sell is in the condition I have bought it, unless otherwise stated, (I have learnt to my cost in the past not to tamper with an item), and therefore I have neither had items repaired nor restored. I will endeavour to report on an item which has had either; however I take no responsibility if an item has been tampered with and I cannot detect it.
OVERSEAS BUYERSAs different countries have different import laws and regulations it is incumbent upon the buyer to know what these are in relation to what they are bidding on. Almost all items I sell are antique unless otherwise stated and therefore well within the import requirements of this country, but maybe a grey area elsewhere, so please take note no responsibility will be taken if a problem with customs occurs.
