Two vintage straight razors and one stone in a tin box.
One razor has a black handle. Don’t know what material the handle is made of. The wording on the handle reads -
OLD STYLE
HAND FORGED
LAKESIDE CUTLERY CO
MADE IN GERMANY
The razor with the yellow handle does not have anything stamped on the metal. We do not know the material of the handle. There is a small chip in the handle and some small debris stuck to the outside.
Both blades have some corrosion but could be polished and sharpened. I attempted to take pictures of the blades’ shape from the end on. I hope you can tell they are wide at the top and curve down to the sharp edge.
The sharpening stone is in a tin box with working hinges. It is labeled
KEEN CUTTER JUNIOR
E C SIMMONS
There are some chips broken off the side of the stone - but there is plenty of surface left to get these blades in great condition.
I think these belonged to my great uncle, Ovie Inwood, who died in the early 1960s.
