intage Swiss manual-wind chronograph movement, housed in a Chronographe Suisse watch case and currently running well.
I am selling this primarily as a movement/watchmaker’s project rather than as a guaranteed ready-to-wear watch. The movement is working and running well, and appears to be a cam-operated Swiss chronograph calibre, believed to be from the Landeron 48/51 family, although the buyer must satisfy themselves as to the exact calibre from the photographs provided.
The watch itself is a very attractive old Chronographe Suisse with two-tone dial, Roman numerals, telemetre scale and copper-toned sub dials, but this listing should be viewed mainly as a movement-led purchase.
Condition:
Movement is running well
Chronograph movement appears complete from visible inspection
Exact calibre not guaranteed
Dial has visible age-related patina and wear
Case, crown and pushers show age-related wear
Service history unknown
Movement:
Manual-wind Swiss chronograph movement
Believed to be Landeron 48/51 family
Sold on that basis only, with buyer to confirm exact calibre for themselves
Important:
This is a vintage watch/movement and is sold as such
No guarantee of accuracy, originality of every part, service history, or long-term reliability
Please study all photographs very carefully, as they form a major part of the description
A good opportunity for a collector, watchmaker, parts buyer or vintage chronograph enthusiast looking for a usable Swiss chronograph movement.
