Vintage Italian Majolica Ceramic Trompe L’Oeil Artichoke Bowl Basket

Beautiful vintage Italian majolica ceramic bowl in a trompe l’oeil artichoke basket form. The bowl features richly hand-painted artichokes arranged around the exterior with naturalistic green tones against a white ribbed ceramic body. The sculptural design creates the illusion of a basket overflowing with artichokes, a classic decorative motif often seen in Italian majolica pottery.

This piece is marked “Made in Italy” on the underside and displays the vibrant glazing and hand-painted character typical of Italian majolica ceramics. It works well as a decorative centerpiece, fruit bowl, or display piece in a kitchen or dining space.

Condition:
