Up for your consideration is this antique microscope manufactured by Bausch & Lomb Optical Co. Rochester, New York. This microscope appears to be complete with the exception of the eye piece. The hard black rubber (gutta percha) platform is intact with no breaks.
This particular microscope appears to have been used for scientific research, it has more bells and whistles than the standard microscope of its time. Patent date, Feb. 16, 1897.
