Excellent external cosmetic condition (see photos).  Burgundy body with gold clip and trim.   Clip is stamped "Sheaffer's" which dates it to before 1964.  All gold trim is in perfect condition. Clip is properly aligned and a firm fit.  The nib is a gold plated stainless steel inset and looks to be in perfect condition.  No size marked but looks like a medium to me. The pen is a touchdown filler. The plunger operates properly and the pen filled when water tested.  Dip tested and it writes (see photo of writing sample), although personally I found it a little scratchy, probably from lack of use.  No box.
