This listing is for an Antique Copper Cooking Pot,with wrought iron handles......LOT No.4.

Possibly dates from the late 19th/early 20th Century.Maybe French in origin?

Quite large and heavy. It's elyptical in shape.Has a length of approx' 56cm (Excluding the handles),31cm wide and is 19cm deep.

Well made and has a reinforcing iron hoop ,inset into the top rolled edges. Each Handle is held on with four, large copper rivets.

Condition is fair/reasonable for its age. There are a small number of dents, but these aren't too serious. One of the Handle rivets has broken away.Possibly, these are replacement handles anyway. Both handles and inset iron hoop, are both pitted and rusty in places and the back of the retaining rivets are covered in solder.Pan has a dark patination and could've been used to mix plaster,or similar in the past - Leave as is,or if you so desire, could be cleaned and polished.

A well made and fairly heavy item.Would make a great outdoor planter.

Can ship Worldwide - Overseas,by Ebays GSP.Can be collected from Robertsbridge,E.Sussex,if you so wish.

(#MY REF-Robs'ge).
