Vintage Jefferson Style Reverse Painted Table Lamps -Set of Two! 14”H
Beautiful set of vintage reverse painted lamps. The glass lamp shade features a stunning landscape in the "reverse painting" technique (verre églomisé), the scene is painted on the inside surface of the glass. The exterior surface has a textured or "chipped ice" finish. The painted scene depicts a winter landscape with a body of water or ice in the foreground. The lower portion of the shade shows white and gray snow banks. A lone wolf is depicted on the bank, looking towards the water. The background features trees and a vibrant sunset with warm yellow, orange, and red hues transitioning into darker tones near the top rim. The base has an ornate, sculpted design with decorative scrolling motifs on the foot and a fluted column leading up to the shade fitter. The lamp has a single light socket assembly. A black electrical cord extends from the back of the base with an inline rotary switch. The lamps are in excellent vintage condition.
