◆ Installation Precautions
 

1. Crankshaft Bearing Installation Points

 
  1. Thoroughly clean the crankshaft main bearing, cylinder block bearing seat and oil passage before installation to ensure no impurities.
  2. Check whether the model of the new crankshaft bearing matches the original vehicle, and ensure there is no transportation damage (such as scratches, deformation, etc.).
  3. Lubrication & Positioning: Only lubricate the contact surface; apply engine oil or special lubricant on the inner surface of the bearing bush (contact surface with the crankshaft main journal), and it is prohibited to lubricate the back of the bearing bush.
  4. Alignment: The positioning protrusion on the back of the bearing bush must be clamped into the positioning groove of the cylinder block bearing seat to prevent the bearing bush from shifting.
  5. Install the bearing cap according to the marks (the arrow direction faces the front of the engine), and alternately tighten the bolts to the specified torque (refer to the vehicle repair manual).
  6. Key Step: Manually rotate the crankshaft after installing each bearing cap to confirm there is no jamming.
 

2. Connecting Rod Bearing Installation Points

 
  1. The connecting rod bearing needs to be replaced as a whole, and the size must match the connecting rod journal.
  2. Embed the bearing positioning tab into the groove of the connecting rod body and cover to prevent axial movement.
  3. Lubricate the inner surface of the bearing bush and the connecting rod journal to ensure the oil hole is aligned with the oil passage.
  4. Tighten the connecting rod bolts to the standard torque alternately in 2-3 times on the connecting rod body and cover to avoid deflection.
 

3. Notes & Prohibitions

 
  • Prohibited Operations: Do not directly touch the anti-friction surface of the bearing bush with hands (sweat will corrode the alloy layer); it is forbidden to add gaskets or apply sealant on the back of the bearing bush.
  • Post-Installation: Before the first start after installation, the engine needs to be pre-lubricated (such as building oil pressure with an external oil pump).
