Leitz Leica FOCOMAT 1c COLOR B&W 35mm Enlarger & 50mm Focotar Lens
- A classic 35mm film enlarger from Leica / Leitz, & complete with lens
- This was the last Leitz enlarger design before the 1980’s V35, and
offered automatic focusing when moving from one enlargement to
another, after being set up correctly - The ‘Color’ designation provides for colour or multigrade filters to be
inserted into the light path, therefore offering the opportunity to print
colour or Multigrade photos - Full set of Ilford Multigrade filters included, will need to be cut to size
for the filter holder (shown) - The enlarger shows some light external corrosion in parts, of no
consequence to use or performance - I have fully cleaned the condenser and also rewired the mains lead
attached to the enlarger. Mains lead is c. 3m long now - The rest of the wiring is checked and is good to use
- The enlarger comes with an ‘in-line’ switch fitted to the baseboard (shown)
- The column is 90cm high, when the head is fully extended the
height is 125cm in total - Negative carrier is standard 24x36mm, in excellent condition
- Comes with the genuine Leitz red filter, swinging into position, or not
- This will be sold with a Leitz Focotar 50mm f/4.5 (DOOCQ) although initially without fault/s, upon closer inspection this seems to display a very small amount of haze inside
- Comes with a 100w (240v) lamp, ES27 fit (Edison Screw 27mm diameter),
in excellent condition - The handle on the right hand side is to lock a Leitz Masking Frame into
place on the baseboard, it can be removed if you do not intend to use an
old Leitz frame - Manual can be obtained online, or from CameraManuals.com, to advise
how to set up the auto-focus - Please ask for darkroom gear to go with this: easel, contact printer, dishes,
grain focuser, safelight, washers, tongs, print dryer, paper, chemicals, etc. - Shipping might be possible but will not be easy or cheap, as the column
cannot be separated from the baseboard so requires a very large box - Collection offered, or perhaps I can deliver in person, dependent on
where you are based, please enquire / ask
