The plate bears the inscription “Palma Inc.” (Palma invenit), indicating the composition derives from Palma’s original design. A publisher’s line ending in “exc.” (excudit) is visible in the lower margin.

This small-format engraving measures approximately 6.75” x 4.5” and appears to date to the 17th or 18th century based on engraving style and paper characteristics.

The sheet has been historically mounted to the reverse of an old handwritten letter, visible on the verso. The mounting appears period rather than recent.

Condition:

The sheet appears trimmed close to the image area. Age toning consistent with period. No visible worming. Some surface wear and evidence of historic fold lines, suggesting the engraving may have once been stored folded, possibly as a devotional image.
