PCGS authenticated and graded MS 63 BN. Frosty faded red mellowing to reddish steel brown. Possibly dipped long ago but the toning is attractive and the surfaces are lustrous. Sharply struck and nearly void of marks. There is a small spot of darker toning at the tip of the nose and a dusting of carbon specks on the lower portion of the neck. E-MDS, die state a. The fields are satiny from microscopic die flowlines but the die lines on the reverse are clear. Tied for CC#9 in the Grellman census. Comes with a very nice provenance.
