Wanda the Walking doll was manufactured by the Advance Doll Company from 1955-1959.  She is made of hard plastic with a key wind mechanism that is wound up to make her walk and is 18" tall.  This is a bit of a throw back to the early key wind toys of the 1800's.  She walks, turns her head and moves her arms fine and wears her original clothes and wig.  Her paint is in good condition with the exception of her lip and finger nails which appear to have been done by her prior owner and a very small ding to one cheek that appears to be a manufacture flaw (it was painted over at the factory).  The main body of this doll has detached into the 2 pieces it was made from as is common with these dolls.  The plastic has warped just enough that I cannot glue it back together.  Her hair is still in its original set.  She  is missing her hat.
