Laser light engine, 20,000 Hr Life, projector has 4100Hrs on the clock.
This Sony has the high end glass lens "The quality of the lens glass makes sure images are pin sharp across the whole screen"
Image is perfect - see the photo of the projected image - excellent blacks - fantastic contrast, and whats lovely with these high quality machines is the very quiet operation. 24dB
Has the Sony "reality Machine" for processing HDR and upscaling very competently. Its an all round excellent machine
You can calibrate the Sony's well if you want the ultimate in picture quality

Do be aware that there are a great many cheap projectors on the market that claim to be 4K , but are not native 4K , also they claim brightness that they totally don't achieve. Avoid all the small toy projectors if you care about home cinema.
