The book is divided into three main sections:

1) Introduction and overview of basic anthropological concepts

2) Overview of topics specific to Afghanistan

3) Overview of provincial specific information to the 4 regions in Afghanistan RC East.

This is a great handbook written by the DIA which gives deep insight into Afghanistan conflict 2001-2014.  Great to add to a collection of military books/documents for this era.  It is marked UNCLASSIFIED but contains both classified or semi-classified field guides produced during the Afghanistan conflict (circa 2001-2014).  Actual DIA-produced handbooks are often classified or restricted.
