Vintage Mattel 1961 Titan Red Bubblecut Barbie STRAIGHT LEG Doll #850

Barbie got a new look in 1961 with a shorter style called a Bubblecut which was said to be influenced by the 1^st lady Jackie Kennedy a fashion icon at that time. The first Bubblecut had a small tight hairstyle, as the years went on her hair got fuller. The first editions tend to have a tighter bouffant hairdo than do the later releases.

Doll shows general wear with age & play. Doll is from A SMOKER'S HOME AND WILL HAVE SOME LINGERING SMELLS!! I gave her a bath in OXI-CLEAN AND YOU WILL FIND SOME LEFTOVER OXI RESIDUE AROUND HER JOINTS. Her face is in good shape EXCEPT SOMEONE DID REPAINT HER LIPS RED PLUS THEY REPAINTED HER FINGERTIPS (BADLY) AND HER TOENAILS WITH RED PAINT. Because of the SMOKE RESIDUE HER LIMBS HAVE TOBACCO RESIDUE AND APPEAR TO HAVE A TANNED LOOK.

Her hair is still in a TIGHT BUBBLECUT style. Decent shape for age.

Her Swimsuit Outfit IS IN WORN CONDITION. The white is VERY DINGY AND IN A GRAY COLOR.

We use USPS ONLY for our shipping needs!  BECAUSE OF UPS POLICIES ON NOT SCANNING PACKAGES ON PICKUP WE HAVE CHOSEN TO BREAK TIES WITH THEM BECAUSE IT IS JUST TOO UNRELIABLE. We typically ship within 2 business days.
