What is Mango Silk? 

Mango silk fabric is not actually silk. It is a versatile cloth that has been hand loomed using a blend of polyester, viscose and bamboo to create a cloth that is breathable and has a distinct, slightly crisp handle. It is also known for its natural and subtle sheen and slightly slubbed texture. This fabric is also called 'artist's silk' or 'artificial silk' and is much cheaper in price than pure silk.


It has been made with dressmaking in kind, with projects like bold statement dresses, skirts and box tops. But this versatile cloth can also be used in home decor to make items like lampshades. 


If you need to purchase more metres than is showing on our listing, please message us as we are more than happy to check the roll or potentially order more in for you.


This fabric is sold in increments of Half Metre and Metre
Please add them to your basket to build your required length.

Multiple purchases of the same item will ALWAYS be cut as one CONTINUOUS length from the bolt and NOT as individual pieces.

We are a family-run independent craft shop called The Cheap Shop, and we are based in the village of Tiptree in Essex, England.

Shipping Information
UK POSTAGE:
For UK postage, we always send our items by Royal Mail 2nd class, however each of our listings has the option to upgrade to 1st class or 24 hour courier. Please note that a parcel can only delivered by courier within 24 hours if we receive the order by 11am. 
We always aim to send our parcels the same day if purchased by 1pm. 
We ship on Monday - Friday ONLY. 
Any orders placed between 1pm on a Friday and Midnight on a Sunday will be shipped on Monday.
This includes 1st class and 24 hour courier parcels
