Weuse the Goldmine CD Grading Scale for both CD/Jewel Case If CD is New Factory sealed,we only grade the jewel case.

Mint (M): Perfect, often sealed. Noscuffs, scratches, or wear.

NearMint (NM or M-): Nearperfect; handled carefully, likely played, but no obvious signs of use.

VeryGood Plus (VG+): Showsminor signs of handling, such as light scuffs or light scratches that do notaffect playback.

VeryGood (VG): Surfacescuffs and light scratches are more pronounced. The disc has been played, butstill plays through without skipping.

Good(G), Good Plus (G+): Significantscuffs or scratches exist. The CD may play, but might skip.

Fair(F) / Poor (P): TheCD may not play, is severely damaged, or the artwork is missing/torn. 

KeyCD Grading Considerations

CaseDamage: Jewelcases are considered replaceable, so cracks are generally not factored into thedisc grade unless they are unique or severely broken, in which case the coveris noted as "Fair" or "Poor".

SurfaceWear: Goldmineemphasizes that a CD with many "light scuffs/scratches" is likely aVG, whereas a few minor ones would be a VG+.

Distinction: A NM CD is shiny with novisible defects, while a VG+ may show light handling.
