Cabin Air Filters (CAF) are an essential part of the entire HVAC system; when clean, they help the defrost, heat, and cooling operate more efficiently. Their primary purpose is to filter out pollutants (road debris and dirt, spores, pollen, smoke, and many others too) & impurities from the environment outside. A good rule is to replace the CAF twice a year; when you change out your smoke detector batteries, change out your CAF, too! You can also check your owner’s manual for exact replacement intervals.
