Origin: Finland, Ylämaa Spectrolite quarry ( Ylamaa )
Size: 19.7 x 12.4 x 3.2 mm
Weight: 1.79 g
The material comes directly from Ylämaa, Finland - the region where Spectrolite was first discovered. I brought my rough from local Finnish miners who worked these deposits for many years, so the origin is fully verified. I have personally been to Ylämaa and have long experience working with genuine Finnish Spectrolite, both in rough and in polished form. This allows me to guarantee that this is authentic Spectrolite, not regular labradorite often mislabeled as such. The stone has the characteristic density, color play, and structure that true northern Spectrolite is known for.
Spectrolite from older Finnish deposits has become increasingly limited over the years, and high-quality pieces like this are getting harder to source. That’s why old-stock material is so valued by collectors and jewelers today.
