Listing: A set of 4 Thomas Taylor Vector (Not Vector VS) lawn bowls, in size 3.

Condition: Used condition. This set is at least 26 years old, based on the testing year. No original packaging, no instructions. All bowls have been used. There are some shallow scratches and marks on all four bowls. There are a couple of small indents, not all over mostly near the testing stamp on one of the bowls. No chips and the bowls are not broken. There is writing of R.B.C in pen on the white jack, please see the listing photos. 

The bag has some wear, this includes to the fabric in some places, a small area of wear to the fabric on the base and the lower zip is a little stiff. 

The bowls, jack and bag can all still be used or collected.

Thomas Taylor Vector Lawn Bowls – Complete Factory-Matched Set

Offered here is a genuine, original set of Thomas Taylor “Vector” lawn bowls, manufactured in Scotland and supplied with the original Taylor Thomas carrying case and original white Taylor Thomas jack.

This is not an assembled or mixed set — all four bowls are factory matched, carrying identical serial numbers and period-correct markings throughout.

  All four bowls are stamped with the same serial number: H-VB876.

  This indicates a true factory-matched quartet, produced in the same production run, from the same mould set, using the same compound mix. Identical serials across all four bowls are uncommon and are particularly desirable to collectors and traditional players.

• World Bowls Board (WBB) Approval Stamp

  • Hexagon WBB stamp (used 1993–2013)

  • A = Submitted for approval/testing by Taylor

  • R = Registered

  • Expiry number “10” = Approval valid until 2010

  This indicates the bowls were tested or re-tested and re-approved circa 2000, which was common practice for high-quality legacy bowls already in circulation.

  Note: WBB expiry relates to approval status, not manufacture date.

• This set was either manufactured in 2000 and tested at the time of manufacture, or this is a set manufactured earlier than the year 2000 that was tested or retested in the year 2000. 

• This set is at least 26 years old, based on the expiry number of 10, meaning 2010, typically ten years after the last testing date. 

• This item was competition legal until 2010. The World Bowls Ltd stamp started in 2013 and is currently still running. As this item has the previous, older style stamp running up until 2013, this item has not currently been retested for the newer stamp. 

• Included Accessories

  Original Taylor Thomas carrying case - a blue and red coloured material bag, with a firmer supported bottom section with foam padding for the four bowls with zip closure. There is an additional zipped upper section and a small zipped front pocket. Two carry handles.
  Original white Taylor Thomas jack - A Taylor Thomas white coloured jack with the Taylor Thomas logo. This jack does have writing on, please see the description.
