K B Hancock 1925 - 2014, Impressionist Oil Pastel, 'The Road to La Masangere'
This is one of two paintings I have by K.B. Hancock, both circa 2000, depicting French landscapes.
Ken had so much experience and talent that he could move between genres and styles, as a bilingual person moves between languages. And he did do just that, regularly enjoying phases.
Intentional or not, it resulted in a limited quantity of any given style before he moved to another.
The Road to La Masangere, from a period of Impressionism in France, radiates colour that is invisible to most people but obvious to K.B., giving you the chance to share his gift.
Framed and glazed, and in overall good condition.
At some point the rear of the piece has been struck resulting in a small hole which left an impression on the visible art work. This is shown in picture 5 & 6 and factored into the price.
The frame's gilding has the odd knock here and there, but nothing that could be considered damage.
At the time of writing, I have another painting of the same scale and manner from K.B. 'House Near Opio', listing No. 287080044810.
Please study the pictures as they also form part of the description.
For any further information or additional photos, please ask.
Many thanks
