Speaker & Decoder installation Tips - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLcjuUKATz4

The item for sale is a new pre-programmed Loksound DC/DCC/Sound decoder for which I created a custom sound and function package that has been loaded onto a new Loksound 5 Fx 21 MTC NEM660 decoder. This can be easily installed into your car by removing the included 21pin chip from Atlas and inserting the new 21pin loksound decoder connected to the included ESU speaker which comes with the kit. The installation tips video shows a good way of mounting a speaker within the car so it's not visible but gives great sound!

Function listing: F0 - Headlight in forward direction, Marker lights automatically when in reverse. F1 - Bell – Cast bell sound F2 - Horn (matched to prototype with varying pitches based on prototype video and sound recordings) F3 - Doors closing Announcement F4 - Break Disable and drive hold F5 - Selectable alternating ditch lights with bell when turned "on". F5 turned "off" leaves ditch lights solid when Bell is ringing. F6 - Ditch lights that alternate flashing when horn is blown F7 - Dimmed main headlight while turning off ditch lights and gyro/beacon lights. F8 - Turns on sounds for car. Additional sounds which are turned on AC/heating fans, Break release when car starts to move, and break squeal when car is coming to a stop. F9 - (no function, so can be used with consisting to other sound equipped locomotives that use F9 as drive hold) F10 - Flange squeal F11 – Gyro light F12 - Internal Car lighting (off/on) Commuter push/pull operations - This decoder is set up to work easily in push/pull operations with any locomotive. Use the following steps to set up: 1) Start a new consist with the Cab car as the lead locomotive in the "forward" direction. 2) Add a “second” locomotive to the consists (the powered locomotive) in the "reverse" direction. This is the engine with a motor which will actually pulling/pushing the train. 3) That's it! The cab car will have full lighting and sound functions when moving in a forward (relative to the cab car) direction. In reverse the headlight/ditch lights shut off and the marker lights come on automatically. Horn and bell sounds are also automatically disabled when the cab car is traveling in a "reverse" direction. You will still have all other functions such as door closing sounds, and fan functions. 4) For best results, set up the non-cab car locomotive to not play its horn/bell in reverse and to shut off the ditch lights (if equipped) in reverse so that these features won't be on while the locomotive is in a "pusher" role.

Please let me know if you have questions or would like any custom feature like a specific horn type!

Sincerely,

Erik
