GLOVER, Crispin Hellion.

Rat Catching: Studies in the Art of Rat Catching.

Los Angeles, CA: Volcanic Eruptions, 1999 (2nd edition).

Second edition (later printing unknown).

Octavo. 80 pages. Hardbound in cloth boards, no dust jacket as issued. Very good condition, clean internally, binding tight, slight external shelfwear.

A scarce example of Rat Catching: Studies in the Art of Rat Catching, an idiosyncratic collage-book in which Glover reworks an 1896 vermin-control manual into a surreal artistic text; this edition reflects Glover’s ongoing literary output beyond his better-known film work. As an early book published by his own Volcanic Eruptions press, it illustrates the actor/director’s commitment to handcrafted, limited art books.

This copy is signed and inscribed by Crispin Hellion Glover on the front endpaper. It lacks a dust jacket (typically as issued) and shows only minor signs of use consistent with very good condition.
