This is a vintage 1983 Cleo Teissedre hand-painted ceramic tile with a Southwestern chile pepper design. The tile features a vibrant turquoise background with a string of red chiles, a black decorative plaque, and a small white pot with indigenous designs.  Cleo Teissedre was a self-taught artist from Tucson, Arizona, known for her highly collectible Southwestern artwork. The piece measures 6x6 inches and can be used as a decorative wall hanging, trivet, or coaster. It is signed and dated '83 by the artist. The tiles are individually hand-painted and fired in a kiln.

The back top corner of the tile has a small surface chip but it does not show on the front of the tile at all and is still in beautiful display condition.
