This is the original Jade of China. It has over seven thousand of years of history used as survival tools and adornments. This Jade was more important than anything else in China. This Jade is from the White Jade River which flows in to the Hotan Region. It is a National Treasure and has a long history of being more important than anything else. Mutton fat white Nephrite Jade has been transported from the Southern and oldest part of the Silk Road to Chinese carvers since 5000 BC. Hotan (Khotan - Hetian) was a very important station on the Silk Road where the world exchanged commodities, technologies and philosophies.

In the 1830's Jadeite was found in Burma. Focus was shifted to this beautiful and bright emerald green Jadeite. It is rumored that an Emperor traded 3 cities for one small carving.
