Vintage Asian Chinese Japanese Paint Brushes Mostly Bamboo ONE BRUSH HARDENED

The brush marked "CC3" has HARDENED BRISTLES. I am not sure if that was a finish that cleans off some how on the bristles from manufacturing or if they have been hardened with something else. Those bristles are stuck just how they look! All have bamboo handles except for one. One is a Yasumoto all purpose brush. Handles are between 7 and 8 inches long.
