In this abstract sculpture, a stone slab was cut from a black rock collected from the coast of the Gulf of Finland. A tapered hole was done in this slab, and both front and back surfaces were polished to a semi-gloss satin finish, while the edges were left untreated preserving their original appearance. The slab is placed firmly and fixed by a screw onto a base made from a piece of polished Elm wood. Self-adhesive velvet paper is fixed at the stand bottom for protection purposes. The slab is about 20 mm, or 0.8 inches, thick. Approximate overall sculpture size is 11*5*19 cm, or 4.3*2*7.5 inches.
