This beautifully crafted horn holder is made of thick buffalo leather (grain leather) and is vegetable tanned. The surface and edges are polished and given a light colour finish, giving the leather its characteristic used look. The circumference of the holder can be individually adjusted to the horn on the back using lacing.

The embossed motif of the Jelling-style dragons has its origins on the 10th-century Danish King Gorm's silver cup.
