Am splitting the decks based on drum hours — this listing is for the highest hours, between 4228-4426 hours. I’ve heard of J decks going as high as 10,000 hours, and I’ve personally seen a deck going strong with 6,600 hours, so these have lots of life left.

I will sell in ascending order of drum hours, so the sooner you buy, the better deck you will get (see list below).

Excellent working condition, frequently serviced by certified Sony technician. This is a BIG deal, because non-serviced J decks usually require a repair to the tension arm.

Just finished a large capture job with them and they worked flawlessly!

Compact J decks are excellent for their reliability, low power consumption, low heat, and of course compact size.

The J-30SDI is the king of compact digital Betacam decks — it can play all types of Betacam — analog Beta SP, Digital Betacam / Digibeta, Betacam SX, and MPEG IMX via its SDI output, FireWire, S-Video or composite. Has both stereo RCA and XLR audio outputs, as well as deck control. Also PAL/NTSC switchable!

Please note: as with all J decks, analog Betacam is limited to 2 channels of audio. All other formats can carry full audio channels.
