The postcard shows Kreuzer's Pond, a country dirt road, and an early automobile. This postcard was printed in France and published by Mrs. A. H. Hoffmeister (Mary Josephine Hoffmeister) affectionately known as "Phenie". Phenie was the wife of Augustus 'Gus" Hoffmeister, and she was also a teacher who ran the local store/ post office combination (Hoffmeister's Store). This postcard was never posted.
