This is an African Kamba  three legged Stool from Kenya. Among the Kamba, the men of a certain age had small tripod seats with a circular sitting, sometimes delicately carved and they carried with them everywhere and throughout their lives. The stools made were circular seats and supported by three disk-shaped legs, and hand carved from one piece of wood. Kamba stools were reserved for elderly men who carried them about to sit upon. These stools are a symbol of class of the respected elders and highly prized. This would be a wonderful gift or just beautiful as home decor.
