An impressive antique George V sterling silver and glass jug hallmarked in Sheffield for 1920's by Cooper Brothers & Sons Ltd.  This glass jug has a plain silver mount, a plain hinged lid, a simple thumb piece and a good pouring spout.  Although each piece has been hallmarked, the date letter on the main body is illegible.  The elaborately cut glass body has been designed to a high standard and depicts star cut decoration.  This silver mounted jug would be perfect to use for serving Pimms, lemonade or water and would look attractive on the table  it would hold 2 litres of liquid.
