Jermaine Mitchell was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the fifth round of the 2006 draft out of UNC Greensboro and became known as one of the fastest baserunners and best defensive outfielders in the A’s minor-league system. His best season came in 2011 when he won the Texas League batting title with a .355 average, followed by a strong stint in Triple-A where he hit .302, earning co-Organizational Player of the Year honors for Oakland’s farm system. Across his minor-league career, Mitchell compiled a .279/.376/.422 slash line with 62 home runs and 164 steals, but despite his pedigree and performance, he never made it to the big-league level before his career ended.

Over a span of roughly fifteen years, a devoted father-and-son duo built one of the most personal and extensive Phillies autograph collections imaginable. From the early 2000s through the mid-2010s, they spent spring trainings gathering signatures directly from players—amassing thousands of items ranging from game-used bats, balls, and bases to programs, photos, and commemorative pieces. Their dedication extended beyond autographs to include stadium-exclusive bobbleheads and other unique collectibles, all tied to the team they loved.

While most pieces do not include third-party authentication, nearly every signature was personally obtained by the collectors themselves. This collection represents years of firsthand dedication, care, and respect for the game—offering buyers a rare opportunity to own genuine pieces of Phillies history with confidence.
