A set of antique decorative plates with floral patterns, hand-crafted openwork around the edge and gilding.

The plates are marked with Fraureuth. Porzellanfabrik Fraureuth, founded in 1865/66 by Arvedam Gustav von Romer and Georg Bruno Fedisch in Fraureuth, Germany, was a significant porcelain manufacturer. The factory produced both utilitarian and decorative porcelain. By 1914, the factory employed around 1,500 workers, making it one of the largest porcelain factories in the German Empire. Production at the factory continued until 1926.

The condition is very good, with tiny traces of age and usage, small loses of gilding.

Provenance:
The set was purchased at the elite Vente Classique auction on the French Riviera in Cannes, where furniture and personal belongings from the old Le Béal estate in Biot, which belonged to Mrs. Fleur Champin (1937-2018), known as a prominent master of garden art in France and Europe, were presented. The auction house's attribution is attached.
