Rare Wedgwood Mercersburg Academy Commemorative Plate - made in England. Approximately 10 5/8" inches across, with an ivory background with blue images. Central image featuring Irvine Hall on the Mercersburg campus. The back carries following inscription and manufacturer's mark: "The Mercersburg Academy -- Irvine Hall -- Named in memory of Dr. William Mann Irvine" -  "Wedgwood of Etruria and Barlaston, Made in England -- "Engraved by the Wedgwood Studios".

This plate is in excellent condition - no crazing, chips, cracks, repairs, stains or marks anywhere on this item. Any reflection, distortion or shadow in the photos is the result of camera and lighting issues. This is an absolutely beautiful plate that is in excellent condition.
