OUR PROCEDURES AND POLICIES
Shipping
Please carefully inspect the shipment immediately at time of delivery in the presence of the delivering carrier's personnel. If you notice any evidence of damage, loss, tampering, penetration, or invasion of the shipping package, please make a written exception with the delivery carrier's personnel
Signature on delivery might be requested upon our discretion
Gemstone Grading and Measurement
Unless a third-party laboratory grading report is present, all estate jewelry gemstones are measured and graded by SOHOJEWELERS staff while mounted (unless otherwise noted). All grading is done as per mounting limitations. Carat weight is calculated by formula, and diamond and gemstone weights and grades are approximate (unless otherwise noted). Color gemstones are not tested for enhancement treatments (unless otherwise noted), Since it is standard practice for colored gemstones to undergo treatments, it is reasonable to assume that such enhancements may have been applied
Metals
All items are tested using our preferred and time-tested method of nitric acid testing (unless specified otherwise). Each item is tested in several places. Karat weight may be represented as a range if an item tests differently in different spots. Please note that there may be some variation to metals due to testing not being possible in certain unreachable spots or due to older solder.
Photography
Please note that colors and dimensions may vary on different size/quality screens and in different lighting. We do our best to always include a photograph of our jewelry either worn or on a mannequin to give our customers a better size perspective. Please carefully consult photographs as well as measurements provided in the listing prior to purchase. If you require additional photographs, please contact us prior to purchase.
Condition
Unless otherwise noted, we sell estate items in pre-worn condition. We usually don't polish the items that we sell, as the majority of our clients prefer the beautiful patination that jewelry acquires with age. If we see damage or anything that stands out from normal wear, it will be noted under the condition section of the listing. Otherwise, items will be listed as estate condition.
Customer Service
We keep standard business hours and try to respond to emails in a timely manner. However, there may be a delay in messages sent evenings, weekends, or holidays.
