Application Method :

It is advisable to work with small quantities of wood filler at a time to ensure application before the initial setting occurs. Transfer a portion approximately the size of a golf ball onto a suitable mixing board, utilizing the included spreader. Dispense about two inches of hardener from the tube and mix thoroughly, preferably with a folding action. Clear the base of the mixing board and spreader during mixing to minimize the risk of applying uncured filler to the repair.

Initiate the application with small amounts of filler to prevent trapping air within the repair, gradually increasing the volume. Finish the repair by smoothing over the surface before allowing it to cure, ensuring it is slightly elevated to accommodate any subsequent sanding.

For sizable repairs, flexible plastic can be used as a shutter, removable after about 10 minutes for a smooth finish. Sanding is most effective 15–20 minutes post-application.

If staining the wood filler surface, thorough sanding is essential for proper stain penetration. Certain timbers have high absorbency, so it is recommended to conduct a trial to ensure the desired acceptable finish can be achieved.
