This is a well-preserved and well-prepped out Hollardops bertrandmimiae from the Devonian at Issamour in Morocco.
The fossil measures 1.99 inches long and 1.22 inches wide (genal spine to genal spine). The entire specimen, matrix and trilobite, measures 2.85 inches long, 2.0 inches wide and 1.3 inches high. Both eyes have extremely well-preserved schizochroal lenses.
There is a repair running across the cephalon and another through the right genal spine and across the thorax and into the pygidium. In the trilobite -collecting world this is not a detriment. Trilobites are found by smashing open rocks and the specimens often get broken as a result. It is rare to find an entire, unbroken trilobite. And if one is found, they usually are sold for a premium amount. Many sellers do not disclose that their fossils have been repaired as the repair is often very well done, and virtually undetectable. I believe in full disclosure.
All of my fossils are authentic and have been legally obtained.
