2016 Gibson Standard Historic Custom Shop 1957 Reissue R7 Goldtop Complete Package Beautiful

This Guitar was purchased Brand New in 2016 by a friend of mine who is also an Excellent Guitarist and Professional Musician.

He owns Many guitars due to his line of work, for the different type of engagements he is hired to perform for, and he has decided to let this Beauty go to a new owner. To "Thin the herd" as he says.

He has played It a lot in many performances, many gigs, but It does not look like it.

He has taken Excellent care of It.

He tells me that the action is Super Low, It Plays Great and the Neck is a "Fat 50's Baseball Bat Neck Shape".

"Even unplugged It has a sustain and resonance that makes you want to keep playing It. It just feels Great."

Here are the Neck measurements:

height at first fret: (Depth)
23.72 mm MM

0.934 inch

width at first fret
44.01 MM

1.732 inch

There is No fret wear whatsoever.

As the pictures show the Guitar is in Stunningly Nice Condition with a mark on a side edge caused by leather guitar strap being the only visual imperfection to speak of.

He said that something in the leather reacted with the Guitars finish without him noticing it (because it was out of sight), until he finally noticed it one time and put a stop to it.

A picture of this area is included in the pictures.

The Guitar does have Schaller Strap locks installed, and he said that the Original Plastic Input Jack Cover broke in half after he was playing it for a while, and his guitar tech replaced it with a non-breakable metallic Input Jack Cover Plate. This is also shown in the pictures. He does have the Original Strap Pin Buttons as well as the Keys to the Case all of which are included in the Package.

The Guitar comes with all the Original Paperwork and COA from the Gibson Historic Custom Shop he received when he purchased It from the Gibson dealer.

My friend says the Guitar weighs 9 lbs. 4 oz.

"A 9 lb 4 oz (approx. 4.2 kg) 1957 Les Paul Reissue is generally considered a perfectly average, solid weight for a non-weight-relieved Les Paul. While some players prefer lighter, under-9 lb guitars, 9–9.5 lb is typical for these models. It is not considered "too heavy" in the context of historically accurate, solid-back Les Pauls, and many find this range ideal for achieving the classic, thick Les Paul tone and sustain.
