• Know what's interesting?  There were actually 4 postage stamps in this series that were issued by the U.S. Postal Service in 2006 for use by the public.  The company that then decided to make these replicas was a private company ("PCS"), not a government agency, and as a private company they were selling the replicas they made for a profit.  Harley Davidson was the manufacturer of one of those motorcycles that were pictured on the stamps (the 1965 Harley), and Harley didn't like it that PCS was planning on making a profit from picturing Harley's product on the replica.  And so, since "Harley Davidson" is a trademark name, Harley was able to prevent PCS from producing the replica with the Harley Davidson motorcycle on it.  That's why there were 4 stamps issued by the post office in the series and only 3 replicas of those stamps produced by PCS!
  • What would be a great idea if you buy this replica series of 3 is to also buy the 4 actual unused postage stamps issued for public use.  That way you could show your friends the 4 actual postage stamps, the 3 replicas above, and then tell your friends the story I described in the paragraph above!  I don't have the actual postage stamps but you can buy the actual stamps on eBay by typing 2006 Motorcycle Stamps in your eBay search bar.  And finally, I have 2 sets of the complete series above if you'd like 2 sets (that's a total of 6 replicas).  Just contact me and we'll coordinate that sale if you're interested.

Thanks for your interest!
