Magnificent mid-19th-century Vieux Paris (Old Paris) porcelain centerpiece bowl, richly hand painted with garlands of roses, cornflowers, and forget-me-nots amid lavish gilt scrolls and shells. A striking example of Second Empire luxury — elegant and luminous from every angle.
This bowl was acquired together with a matching set of Old Paris cups and saucers (listed separately), all from the same Paris atelier service.
Origin: France, Old Paris ateliers, circa 1845–1860
Decoration: Hand-painted floral garlands with raised gilt shell & scrollwork
Dimensions: 11¼″ diameter × 5⅜″ high
Material: Hard-paste porcelain
Finish: Glossy glaze with burnished gold highlights
Mark: Unmarked, typical of Vieux Paris production
Excellent antique condition — vibrant colors, minimal gilt wear, no chips, cracks, or repairs. Minor surface wear on the foot consistent with age.
