Known as one of the earliest kaleidoscope models produced by Van Cort, this piece stands as a beautiful example of precision and American craftsmanship from a now-retired brand.

The Lucida features a 3-mirror system with 4-point symmetry, creating dazzling and symmetrical interior views. Its separate turning dry cell chamber allows for interactive viewing, and the brass construction has held up remarkably well—still gleaming with minimal signs of wear.

A rare find in such well-preserved condition, this collectible kaleidoscope comes with its original wooden base and is signed on the eyepiece by Van Cort Instrument Makers USA.
