The Mozambique 500,000 Meticais banknote is part of the 2003 issues. It is blue, green, and brown in color and measures 155 x 64 mm. The obverse side shows a Portuguese text, the Banco de Mombique headquarters building in Maputo, the coat of arms, a gold holographic patch, and a reed inside cog. The reverse side features a Portuguese text, a reed inside cog, a bank logo, and four workers in a steel foundry. This banknote uses a windowed security thread with demetalized MOMBIQUE and contains a watermark with a bank logo with a 500000 design.
