Originally couldn't get the top to stay down (this turns it off) now it won't charge

The underneath panel has been removed to see if there was an obvious problem is but now won't sit completely flat, see photo

Please note, no box/charger/accessories/manual etc 

Used condition, from a smoke and pet free home.
