Underwood & Underwood Publisher, divided back postcard showing the construction underway at the Pedro Miguel Locks in Panama.  This flight of the three flight system is located in between the other two, in the Oeste Province, Pacific Ocean side, near Panama City.  Pedro Miguel was the first section to be completed, finishing in 1911.  This postcard shows a view of the east chamber and the construction of the lower main gate.  The card was never posted.  Condition:  This card has a crease that is located about one third over from right side and starts at the bottom edge.  The card has edge wear and noticeable corner wear as well.  There is soiling on both the front and back.
